Ms. Maldonado is a Senior Advisor to the Heartland Solutions Group and has served 24 years in various capacities within Texas state government. Most recently, she served as the State Representative of Texas House District 52. During her tenure as a State Representative, Ms. Maldonado was appointed to the House State Affairs Committee and the House Defense & Veterans' Affairs Committee. At the completion of her first term, she was elected "Freshman of the Year" by her peers in the Texas Legislature.
She has served as a member of Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO), a regional transportation organization for Central Texas and spent over 20 years in the Office of the Texas Comptroller. She is the former President of the Round Rock Independent School District Board of Trustees and has also served on the Reilly Elementary PTA in Austin ISD.
She has served on various local and national boards, including the Executive Committee of the Mexican American Legislative Council (MALC), Executive Committee of the Hispanic Scholarship Consortium, the National Association of Latino Elected Officials (NALEO), the National Hispanic Caucus of State Legislators, Women In Government, Executive Women in Texas Government and the Hispanic Women's Network of Texas.
