Mr. Thacker is a Senior Advisor to the Heartland Solutions Group and a veteran political campaign, grassroots and referendum campaign consultant.

He began his career in politics as a volunteer on numerous statewide and U.S. Congressional campaigns. His first full time campaign position was in 1992 when he successfully managed the first campaign for U.S. Representative Don Manzullo (R-IL). He subsequently served as Congressman Manzullo’s Chief of Staff and, in August of 1995, accepted the position as campaign manager for State Representative Al Salvi’s successful 1996 US Senate primary election campaign.

Mr. Thacker started his own political consulting firm in 1996 and has, in subsequent years, managed or consulted on dozens of federal, state and local elections. His experience also reflects substantial involvement in numerous referendum campaigns, where he has racked up a nearly flawless win record and where his expertise in grassroots political organizing and influencing public opinion has been particularly refined to the benefit of corporate, association and coalition clients.
